MY BOOK

A Heartfelt exploration of the Person-Centred theory

The Humanistic Movement reminds us that a person is not a problem to be solved, but an endless source of meaning and potential.

Carl Rogers — the most recognisable voice of humanism, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and father of the Person-Centred Approach — was the first to speak boldly about authenticity, personal growth, and hope. He articulated the vision of reaching one’s full human potential and the tendency toward self-actualisation long before the world even had a language for it.

Rogers trusted in people. So do I. Not because I have simply studied his theory — as someone who believes in something understood — but because I have lived it, both within myself and in my work with others. This is why this book exists: as an invitation to Bulgarian readers to discover an approach that places not the diagnosis, but the person at the centre.

For me, Rogers is not a figure from the past, but a living reminder that true change is born in the space where a person is seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are.

This contemporary book builds on that legacy, weaving together new research and modern perspectives to offer a fresh and deeply relevant understanding of the Person-Centred Approach for today’s world.
